Jeyran Ghara

Founding Partner, Managing Director

Jeyran Ghara is one of the founding partners of Southard Communications,
providing strategic marketing communications counsel, high-level media
relation expertise, and expert brand management to Southard Communications’
corporate and consumer clients.

An accomplished communications director, she is instrumental in identifying
business issues, developing communication strategies, understanding target
audiences, managing complex communications issues and mounting informative,
persuasive positioning.

Ghara brings more than 15 years of experience as an advisor and counselor to
senior executives across a diverse set of industries.  Her experience
includes the consumer launches of LeapFrog educational products and Random
House’s online publishing venture, Xlibris Corporation; Ongoing corporate
positioning for MasterCard International and Newcourt Credit Group, an asset
based lending institution; Strategic and crisis management for US Military
Academy at West Point and St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center; and
aggressive consumer media relations campaigns for MasterFoods International,
Disney Publishing, American Express and PBS Kids.

Prior to helping found Southard Communications, Ghara spent two years at
Earle Palmer Brown/New York, a full service communications firm where she
honed her skills as an integrated marketing specialist.  Having served as
the day-to-day account manager on the agency’s corporate communications
programs, she was responsible for integrating and coordinating various
marketing disciplines for clients including the use of direct marketing,
advertising and public relations initiatives.

Ghara joined EPB from Dorf & Stanton Communications where she worked
primarily on product introduction and consumer marketing campaigns,
including the launch of the Sharp’s Wizard Electronic Organizer and
Ciba-Geigy’s Habitrol nicotine skin patch.

Ghara is a graduate of Syracuse University.  She is a member of the Public
Relations Society of America, New York New Media Association and Women in
New Media.
